Grayslake Hot Air Balloon Festival - August 24, 2013
The Village of Grayslake will hold a hot air balloon festival on August 24, 2013.
The event has been named Color Aloft and is to be held at Central Park in Grayslake.
Six hot air balloons are to be featured plus live entertainment and several food vendors.
From the Grayslake Patch:
"The festival will feature a fox-and-hounds event, which involves sending up a balloon, giving it a head start to reach a landing spot, and then sending the other balloons (the hounds) up to find the first balloon.
The balloons will return to Central Park and then, after dark, they'll light up their burners so the balloons are illuminated from the inside."
