Home Buying - Principles of a Good Home Inspection

Home Buying - Principles of a Good Home Inspection

Plan to be at the home with the inspector and follow along with the inspection.

Try to do the inspection with the minimum number of spectators, so that you can fully concentrate on the inspection.

Ask questions as to what something is and how it works.

Concentrate on these major areas:

  • Roof
  • Foundation
  • Windows
  • Heating and Cooling
  • Plumbing
  • Electric
Make sure you understand the basic operation of all systems of the home before the inspection ends.
