Lake County Illinois Holiday Tree Recycling 2011The holiday season is here and part of your decorating may include a real Christmas tree.
After the holidays, you can donate your tree to the Lake County Forest Preserve.
Drop off locations are located at Greenbelt, Half Day, Old School, Ryerson Woods, Lakewood and Van Patten Woods.
The Lake County Forest Preserve will recycle the donated trees into wood chips for trails and landscaping throughout the Lake County forest preserves.
More information about recycling Christmas trees can be found at the National Christmas Tree Association website.
